This weekend in Canberra, Saturday 18 to Sunday 19 July 2026, brings the Southern Harvest Canberra Winter Festival together with rugby fixtures at GIO Stadium, textile markets in Kingston and a Christmas-themed market in Queanbeyan.
Winter events give residents and visitors a chance to gather outdoors and indoors during the colder months, with food, performances and shopping options listed across multiple local calendars.
The Southern Harvest Canberra Winter Festival includes a night market at Dairy Road featuring warming winter eats, fire dancers and a DJ across both Saturday and Sunday.
Canberra Raiders teams play at GIO Stadium on Saturday for Women in League Round, with the women’s side facing Sydney Roosters at 12:40pm, the men’s side taking on South Sydney Rabbitohs at 3pm and the NSW Cup match scheduled for 5:15pm.
The Old Bus Depot Markets in Kingston run on Sunday from 9:30am to 2:30pm and host Creative Fibre, where textile artists display handmade homewares and wearable pieces.
Queanbeyan hosts a Christmas in July Market on Sunday 19 July at the Showgrounds, offering winter-themed stalls and treats.
Geek and pop culture fans can attend a two-day expo on Saturday and Sunday that includes comics, collectables, fandom gear, interactive experiences and creator panels.
Details for each event appear on the listed calendars and venue sites. Residents can check the source pages for any updates on times or access before heading out.
